I am so glad you stopped by my icy world today.. I have tried my very best to stay inside and warm.. that is never easy when you have lots of animals like we do.. the hog woke me up early oinking as loud as she could to say her water was frozen solid.. the chickens soon joined in to say she couldn't have liquid water without them.. I put on all the clothes I could find and went out to discover that the outside water was frozen solid.. I passed around some scratch feed and hoped they could wait for water.. I did take my stick and break the ice in all the buckets.. by the time I came back inside all the dogs were whining with legs crossed... so grabbing a cup of coffee... I headed right back out for a long walk around the place.. needless to say... none of the usual spots suited the dogs and I was nearly frozen before everyone had answered natures call.. just as I settled in with my second cup of coffee I was called out to go check on my Mom's dogs.. I decided the best thing for all concerned was to bring them home with me and do my best to keep them warm and safe while Mom does her best to feel better at my sister's house.. we had a few hours of bearable temperatures through the middle of the day.. but now as darkness creeps in so does the icy cold.. the dogs and I have just returned from another long walk.. for now everyone is cuddled up together on the couch in front of the heater.. Baby is running in her sleep and Clyde watches her as if he knows exactly what she chases.. I hope that where ever you are you are warm on this cold .. cold night.. Please feel free to leave me a comment as I welcome both comments and followers... Have a wonderful day!

  1. Santa looks very cool in sepia! It was cold here in PA too--I was glad to have wool mittens when I went out.
