Thanks for stopping by my Photo blog today.. it's so hard for me not go off on a wordy ramble.. but so far I have managed to keep things short and sweet.. Dave and I made a photo Hunting stop on our way to the store and found lots of interesting flowers.. watch for those in up-coming weeks.. we also visited one of my all around favorite childhood haunts and made a few shots there.. I am now about to head to a birthday supper for one of my favorite folks and I am almost certain I will make a few shots there too.. nothing I like much better than a day filled with Photos.. I hope your day has been wonderful too.. Please remeber that I welcome comments...

Friday..Sizzling Hot and Friends on the Side....

" Character isn't something you were born with and can't change, like your fingerprints. It's something you weren't born with and must take responsibility for forming." ~ Jim Rohn

Photo Friday~ Best Friend~ My Best friend for so many years.. in the beginning.. she may not have spoken my language but she could see where my problems lay and she was daring enough to fight for my rights.. I love her dearly.. a few years ago as some of our friends began to die she wondered which of us "would be next to go".. I told her not to wonder that.. I can't imagine life without her.. I was 16 when we met.. That is a long long time ago!

31 Photos In 31 Days!~ Day 6! # # # # # # # # # # Skywatch Friday ~ Season4- episode 4...

~ Sizzling Hot.. But those clouds might hint at a storm later.. We need the rain so I say bring it on!!

Fingerprint Friday~ from The Rusted Chain Job 12:7-10 ESV ~“But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind. ~ This photo of Bonnie makes her look like one of those weird cartoon dogs with a big head and a tiny body.. I'm not sure why it came out like this but I loved it.. Bonnie is a good dog and a good friend.. I love animals of all kinds.. wild and domesticated.. caged and free..

Weekday Photos ~ Nature #3 ~ Animal Portrait # # # # # # # # # # Week-End Reflections~ ~ This little angel boy tries to see the huge ancient oak tree reflected in his urn of rain water.. we fear that our old trees will soon be gone.. every storm brings down a few limbs.. we may soon have to have them cut to ensure the safety of our home.. Oh how I dread that day..

I hope you enjoyed your visit to my world today! Thanks for stopping by! I welcome comments so feel free to leave me one.. Have a wonderful Friday!

Remember the Critters in this Heat!

"Zoo: An excellent place to study the habits of human beings." ~ Evan Esar Camera Critters #121~

~ "I didn't do it.. I swear on my Granny's stripes! "

" Hey Man.. they think the Zebra did it..

No ugly yellow tape around us!" ~

~~

" Jump on in here..

We'll show you how it's done!" ~

~~ I make a lot of jokes like this one about the animals having committed some crime.. I'm sure the zebra was innocent and the tape was just to mark a new trail they were working on at the time.. they were in fact doing some major renovations at the zoo the day we were there... But one thing that is NOT a joke is the affect the heat has on all animals.. they can suffer from heat exhaustion just like we can.. please remember the wildlife in your area by making a place for them to rest and find water in your yard.. if you have pets please do NOT leave them in your car.. and be warned I have reported many animals in cars and will always do so.. I report kids left in cars too.. imagine that!!.. though your dogs are cute all dressed up in that shirt it is too hot for this weather.. save it till Christmas.. saucers of cool water placed in the shade will attract birds to bathe and play.. a sprinkler is even better.. a muddy spot will attract beautiful butterflies and frogs to sing you a bellowing song.. Oh what fun you will have!! we are having a major heat wave here in the south.. do all you can to stay cool and please remember the animals..! Have a great day!
