I followed this little fellow around the patio... watching him run from plant to plant changing colors several times.. he was so tiny.. only about an inch long from the top of his head head to tip of tail..  I wanted to catch him and build him a terrarium but  Dave was against the idea.. so he remains free..

Dave and I talked it over and we decided that we would take fifty steps and more along the newest walking trail in Town..  still under construction..  it lead us beside the creek and through wetlands on the new boardwalk..  we enjoyed the walk in spite of the One Hundred Plus temperatures.. we saw lots of birds and bugs.. as we walked around and up and down and through..

Maya and I were bonding on the swings early in the morning.. before the party started..

 

The crowd gathered and musical squares was loads of fun.. Beth and Reuben battled to the finish.. we played lots and lots of games..

 

Mason was worried that he wouldn't get to play because of his broken ankle.. he forgot that Grandma is crafty and he could play some games .. like fishing.. sitting down..

 

I had lots of sibling help with keeping the platters filled and the chicken cooked..

 

 We bonded and played and laughed together..

Midweek Blues-    aqua blue water.. blue tiles.. blue flip flops.. blue bag and even blue bars... we really had the blues when we realized that the lazy rivers were for resort guests only..

we made a pit stop at this little spot about halfway between here and there.. though there was nothing fancy about this little place they did decorate the yard with a few pink flamingos and had a sign that promised  a food almost all southerners love..

ABC Wednesday- A is for Antique

This very pricey vintage statue is said to be a man in a mask.. he is an antique imported from Italy.. the small print on one of the tags says that he was rescued from a bordello that was about to be demolished.. he sure was dressed funny for a guy.. I do like his chicken though..

Thursday Challenge- "pets"..  this wonderful cat came with the house that my sister.. Martha.. recently moved into...though he is more than half wild he came close enough and lay down for his photo shoot.. as soon as I reached out my hand to touch him..  he was off in a flash to give me dirty looks across the yard..  I think I will name him  Percival...
