Shutter Day #199 - Light-

Genesis 1:14-15 And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so. ========================= Tonight Clyde decided to raise a ruckus and run off while I was out in the field with the other dogs... I looked up and saw this sight.. spooky almost.. that's the moon above my old.. old ... old... oak tree.. I love my old trees.. I have been trying to make a good "light" picture... I decided to let those all wait till later and use this one moment of time for my "light".. Now I need to look for Clyde.. ~ when my own children were small they would race across the top of this damn barefooted to the other side.. today the water was like ice.. the rangers have just finished a wooden rail fence in hopes of stopping the children who would wade across the top of the damn.. I would be willing to bet that there will still be a few who will climb over the fence to run across... # # # # # # # # # # White Wednesday #82-

I admire Church steeples.. I have always loved them.. I like the fancy ones with bells that chime or the simple ones with no adornments.. I love to make pictures of them.. sometimes I make a straight shot of them but honestly.. for whatever strange reason.. I like to make photos of them from weird angles.. I have even thrown myself down on the ground to get a wild shot of a steeple.. for as long as I can I will share a "Steeple Chase" shot every Sunday..

What was your favorite Christmas gift? If you do not celebrate Christmas, what is the favorite gift you've received?~ a couple of weeks ago I was seen stressing about the fact that I had no dolls under my Christmas tree.. not any for me at least.. I know I'm grown but I need to have all the latest dolls so I can fashion clothes for them to wear.. It's been my hobby ever since I was a tiny tid-bit of a girl.. I did get dolls for Christmas.. I even got a very old little fellow from my sister.. I think she was fearful that my children and husband might have not bought me one this year.. and that the world might stop turning if I was riled.. I am always tickled with any gift.. I am easy to buy for.. a book.. a doll.. a plant or even seeds..an old bottle or even a rock you found by the creek... but my favorite gift is always a notebook to write in.. I have a few..
